Design Your Learning Trip

Our Customized Programs are designed in close collaboration with schools to meet specific learning objectives, student profiles, and curriculum requirements. We work with educators to align each program with academic frameworks, service-learning standards, and institutional priorities, ensuring meaningful outcomes both in and beyond the classroom. Programs are adapted by age group, subject focus, duration, and learning style, integrating experiential activities with reflection and assessment. Whether supporting global studies, ethics, environmental education, or leadership development, our flexible approach ensures each journey is relevant, safe, and academically grounded while remaining deeply immersive and transformative for students.

Our Customizable Flagship Programs

Journeys Rooted in Learning, Community, and Responsibility Through Presence, Place, and Purpose

All our programs are rooted in deep engagement with place, Cambodia’s history, culture, landscapes, and lived realities. Through mindful presence, students learn by listening, reflecting, and acting with intention. Outdoor experiences build resilience and teamwork, cultural immersion fosters empathy and humility, and service learning is grounded in dignity and reciprocity. Guided by local perspectives and peacebuilding traditions, participants explore conflict, healing, and responsibility. Learning becomes embodied and relational, connecting inner awareness with ethical action and a deeper sense of global responsibility.

Service Learning

Our Service Learning programs center dignity, reciprocity, and long-term community relationships. Participants collaborate with local partners on community-identified needs. Through guided reflection, students examine ethics, power, and global responsibility, moving beyond “helping” toward meaningful partnership rooted in listening, humility, mutual respect, sustainability, and community agency.

Cultural Immersion

Cultural Immersion programs offer a lived understanding of Cambodia beyond tourism. Participants engage history, spirituality, family life, and contemporary realities through homestays, storytelling, mentorship, and daily interaction. Cultural site visits pair with conversations on memory, resilience, and identity, cultivating humility, empathy, reflection, and meaningful cross-cultural relationships with local communities together.

Adventure With Purpose

Adventure with Purpose programs combine physical challenge, environmental learning, and reflection. Set in Cambodia’s natural landscapes, participants trek, cycle, kayak, and explore conservation sites. Guided by local experts, experiences build resilience, teamwork, and self-awareness while fostering sustainability, responsible travel, leadership development, and deeper connection to nature.

Leadership & Global Citizenship

Leadership and Global Citizenship programs cultivate ethical, mindful, socially responsible leaders. Through dialogue, experiential learning, and reflection, participants explore conflict resolution, compassionate leadership, intercultural communication, and systems thinking. Informed by Buddhist principles and local perspectives, programs build self-awareness, emotional intelligence, values-based decisions, and responsibility within interconnected global communities worldwide today.

Why Phum Journeys?

Because meaningful learning begins with connection, not consumption, Phum Journeys exists to reimagine how people experience Cambodia. We believe culture is not something to be observed from a distance, but something understood through relationships, shared experiences, and respectful exchange. Rooted in village life and shaped by long-term partnerships with local communities and educators, Phum Journeys creates experiential programs that are ethical, reflective, and deeply human. Our journeys are never pre-packaged, each one is co-created with schools to align with learning goals while honoring local voices and safeguarding standards.

Rebecca

History Teacher

I was fortunate to be a part of a teachers immersion tour in Cambodia in December 2025 with Seavi Yoon Yonn as our tour leader.
One of the things that struck me about Seavi was how friendly and welcoming he was. He showed a terrific mix of professionalism and fun with our group and he shared many stories and anecdotes along the way.
We felt fully supported by him. He made great judgements based on the mood of the group and would give us options if we needed to and his options always worked out really well…. So he obviously knew his stuff.
Culturally, he enlightened us on many of the Cambodian nuances. And shared with us his knowledge of the past combined with his hope for the future.
Couldn’t have asked for a better guide.

Seavyi is an excellent guide, not only professional but also approachable and friendly. He put us at ease for our entire trip. Seavyi’s knowledge of local culture, history, and hidden gems added so much depth to our experience. I would highly recommend joining any trip or experience that Seavyi is a part of!
